Julie is a Director and also leads the Wills and Probate Department. After graduating in Law from the University of Leicester Julie completed her Legal Practice Course at De Montfort University and following formal training qualified as a solicitor in 1996.
Kumer has substantial experience of advising and representing businesses and individuals in his specialist fields. Kumer graduated from the University of Oxford and after completing the Solicitors Final Examination at the College of Law in York.
After completing her Law Degree and Legal Practice Course at the University of Huddersfield, Danielle joined Catteralls as a trainee solicitor in 2009 going on to qualify in 2011.Danielle made rapid professional progress and became a partner at the firm in 2016.
Linda is an experienced solicitor specialising in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and Court of Protection matters. Linda qualified as a solicitor in 2007 having retrained to become a solicitor following several years working in the Civil Service.
Jenny is a senior conveyancer and head of our residential property team. Over a career spanning some 25 years, Jenny has acquired substantial expertise in leading and dealing with a whole range of residential property transactions.
Richard is a specialist family law solicitor with over 10 years’ experience and represents clients in all types of family law matters, including divorce, arrangements for children and financial settlements between the parties.
Lakh works as a solicitor in our Litigation Department. Lakh graduated with a Law Degree from De Montfort University in 2014. Thereafter, he worked in two busy litigation departments of firms based in Leeds before formally qualifying as a Solicitor.
Kerry is the firm’s Operations Manager and is a key member of the Senior Management Team. Kerry joined the firm in 2002 and has acquired an in-depth knowledge of the firm’s processes and systems and what it takes to successfully run a solicitors firm.
Marie has been a key member of the senior management team over a long period of time and is widely respected for her in-depth knowledge of the firm, the regulatory landscape in which it operates and her ability to resolve practice and management issues as they arise.
Vicky specialises in the administration of estates and as well as dealing with the obtaining of a grant of probate where a will has been left or letters of administration where there hasn’t, deals with all aspects thereafter of the administration of the estate up to its conclusion.
Anne is an experienced legal assistant in the Wills and Probate Department where she assists partner Julie Burgess. Anne has over twenty years’ experience in relation to Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate matters and is a key member of the team.
Claire joined Catteralls in 2003 and has gained experience in a variety of roles throughout the business finally settling in the Wills and Probate department.
Sue has been at Catteralls since 1975 and over that period of time has worked with a number of partners practising in the property and commercial fields. She has acquired extensive technical and practical expertise, which she brings to bear in her day-to-day work on behalf of the firm’s clients.
Sarah works as a legal assistant in the Residential Property Department where she is part of Jenny Bowyer’s team. Sarah has been a valued team member since 2009 and has, therefore, acquired a substantial amount of relevant experience which she brings to bear in her day to day work.
Charlotte is an experienced conveyancer who is an integral member of our residential conveyancing team. Charlotte is working towards her qualification as a licensed conveyancer having achieved CLC Level 4 and Level 6 Diplomas.
Eleanor has a well-developed reputation amongst property professionals and house builders in the region, which is a testament to her all-round conveyancing expertise.
Lisa Assists Kumer Ali in the dispute resolution department. Lisa has over 25 years’ experience in many different areas of law including family, probate, litigation, debt collection and conveyancing.
Claire assists in the residential property department and rejoined Catteralls in 2016 having worked here previously. Always happy to help out clients and other colleagues Claire has a wealth of property experience.
Jess is a Paralegal in the family department where she works together with Rebecca Baker. Jess is a holder of CILEX Level 3 Paralegal Qualification and has recently completed her examination for CILEX Level 6, which in due course will lead to her qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive.
Debbie joined Catteralls property team in October 2017, having quickly settled in Debbie is a valuable member of Catteralls expanding property team.
Ella is a junior administrator who joined us as an apprentice straight from college after completing her A levels. She particularly enjoyed studying law and decided to pursue a career in the legal profession.
Sonia is a legal assistant in the Residential Property Department where she works as part of Paul Kininmonth’s team. Sonia is an experienced conveyancing assistant and performs a wide range of tasks including dealing with queries from clients, giving quotes and preparing documents.
Sally is our senior receptionist. Her duties include meeting and greeting clients, operating the switchboard and helping both clients and anyone else who makes contact with the firm.
Philip qualified as a Solicitor in 1981 and retired as Catteralls Senior Partner in March 2016. Philip specialises in Wills, Trusts and Probate and continues to practice as a Consultant.
